Best beaches on the Baunei coast

The Baunei coast is one of the most spectacular stretches of the Mediterranean: a 40 km cliff hiding white-pebble coves and turquoise water. Here are the best.

Cala Goloritzé: arco di roccia e mare turchese sulla costa di Baunei
Cala Mariolu: ciottoli bianchi e acqua cristallina
Pedra Longa vista dall'alto: monolite di roccia e mare turchese
Cala Biriala: spiaggia bianca tra falesie e mare cristallino
Pedra Longa: il monolite calcareo sulla costa di Baunei

Cala Goloritzé

The most famous: white pebbles, transparent water, a 143-metre limestone spire. Reached on foot from Golgo (3.5 km) or by boat from Santa Maria Navarrese.

Capped access with ticket. Anchoring and colourful towels banned: a natural monument since 1995.

Cala Mariolu and Cala Biriala

Cala Mariolu is a stretch of pink pebbles with incredible water colours. Reached by boat or a hard trek from Golgo (4–5 hours).

Cala Biriala is its quieter neighbour: a natural pool framed by rocks.

Cala Sisine

Larger than the others, with a stream flowing into the sea. Reached by boat or a long trek down the Sisine canyon.

Ideal for space and for children: bigger pebbles but shallow, calm water.

Pedra Longa and Santa Maria Navarrese

Pedra Longa: small inlet at the foot of the monolith, deep water straight away, perfect for snorkelling. Reachable by car.

Santa Maria Navarrese: the equipped sandy beach of the hamlet, with bars, sunbeds and easy access.
